Drink Up!

soda sketch soda illustration

Initial sketch to final illustration, here is my contribution to the April issue of 605 Magazine. It was for an article that gave creative ideas for graduation party invitations. One of the ideas, obviously, was to put your party information on a soda bottle. In the final version in the magazine, I noticed one small error, which was my fault. (A consequence of indirectly working with the magazine and therefore, not seeing a proof.) Otherwise the overall quality was much better than last time.

Does your sister get royalties from this? :)

I think this is great both because of the actual look and design of it and also the concept itself. Putting an invite on a soda bottle is definitely not something I would have thought up and it’s a very cool idea. Glad it turned out so well. It was fun seeing your last one in 605 Magazine (I had actually forgotten you had it in there and a friend was reading through it when I rudely interrupted her shouting “Hey, I know who made that!”), and I’ll look forward to accidentally stumbling across this one at some point in the future.

“This soda tastes like a party in my mouth. Literally!”

    Looks good, sweetie!

I love them! Great idea. Can you send these with a 42 cent stamp? I’m getting ready for graduation and postage is SICK. Who knew 42 cents times 200 equals 84 dollars. SICK.

    But nonetheless, I love it!
