Studio 60…gone?!
Tonight, February 26, 2007, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip did not air at its regular time. Instead, the premiere of The Black Donnellys replaced it. I assumed it was just a one-time thing, and then The Black Donnellys would find a different slot. However tonight, Miles found an article on NBC.com suggesting that Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip may be done for.
This is more outrageous than Al Gore making a movie. Studio 60 was probably the best show I have ever seen. It created long-overdue perfect characters for actors like Matthew Perry or D.L. Hughley. I have never seen these two act like they have for the past few months on this show. Never have I seen such a balanced mix of comedy and drama, (at least since the early years of West Wing). Funny, because Aaron Sorkin is behind them both.
Flop? I don’t think so. This is what I had to look forward to every night. I know some of you might disagree, but I’m a picky laugher. If this show does not return, all I have in my life to entertain me is Miles…..just kidding, baby! But seriously, to the NBC execs who read this blog, don’t let this show go. And stop treating Heroes as your golden boy. Your eyes have been blinded.
