Day 1: “Hospital Beds” by Cold War Kids
So I’m jumping on the bandwagon here with a special on music I’ve grown to like through songs Miles has introduced me to. I really didn’t like music much until he started making me CDs, and even now I can’t appreciate everything. There is no set amount of days, and I’m not guaranteeing it will be daily, but I can say the songs will be good because I. M. Picky and I’ll stop when I’m good and ready. I don’t have history or background on many songs, if any, but I do have reasons for liking them.
To kick off the list is my current #1 favorite, Hospital Beds by Cold War Kids. This group has recently become my favorite band. I love every song I hear of theirs, (the first song I ever heard of theirs will be another day’s feature, trust me). This song, in particular, has an epic feeling to it. Every time I hear it, I think I should be watching the end of a movie when all of the loose ends are tied up and everything is in slow motion…and this song is playing. When I hear it, I feel inspired. Not to do anything specific, but just to do something. Please watch below.
