I wrote this once and something went bonkos with the internet, so here’s the summed up version. If you want to watch my graduation speech on Sunday, go to www.dsu.edu on that day and there will be a link to a live streaming video of the commencement. The link will be there for two weeks following the ceremony, if you miss it on Sunday. The speech is a collaborative effort, with most credit going to Miles and his splendid writing skillz.
And to answer the question you all are asking yourselves: No, we aren’t streaming a video of our wedding online. Nice try, nerds.

The Streets is a British rap group…though most wouldn’t call it rapping. It’s mostly talking on top of music. This particular song is giving advice on how to pull off the perfect con and how you can’t con an “honest John” because the only way a con works is if the other person thinks they’re conning you. Which is true.
This song makes me think of driving in Miles’s car away from my Brookings apartment going to get Papa John’s pizza. I remember him telling me there’s this song I need to listen to by this British band called The Streets and how they’re rappers and they’re giving advice on conning. You can imagine what I was thinking when he tells me this. And then plays this song that obviously is not rapping, the way I think of it.
No video, sorry…notable lyric (the very first of the song): Using the following, I’m going to show you: \ A) How to con someone using their own greed \ B) That you won’t feel bad ‘cos they’re trying to con you anyway \ and C) TAKING THEIR MONEY!
